Ryo and Craig have been friends since elementary school. Their bond strengthened through baseball rather than school activities. For a few years, they were roommates in Chicago, embracing the bachelor lifestyle with sports, pizza. Craig supported Ryo as he pursued a relationship with Jayme, being welcoming and offering steady encouragement along the way.

Ryo and Brandon's friendship kicked off in May 2018 when Brandon joined the same architecture firm where Ryo had been working for six months. They bonded over wings and beer after Brandon's first day, and the rest is history. Though they’ve since moved on from being colleagues, Brandon, Craig, and Ryo still regularly reunite to enjoy sports and good times together.

Juran and Ryo met during their second year at the University of Illinois and quickly became friends. They spent countless hours with a small group of Japanese friends, studying, cooking japanese food, and having good time. Later, when Juran lived in Chicago, he became one of Ryo’s closest friends as he got used to city life. Even after Juran relocated to Seattle, their friendship has remained strong.
